Our History
The Greater Collaborative began in 1994. Over several years, it evolved to become Placer Collaborative Network and came under the fiscal management of Placer Community Foundation in 2004.
Our Past Projects
- Health Express: No to low cost transportation rides to medically related appointments for residents of Western Placer County.
- Dollar for Care: Community based fund development plan that linked business to local causes.
- Campaign for Community Wellness: Placer County's effort to improve and transform mental health services through community based approaches.
- Placer Consortium on Homelessness: Collaborative effort to assist those experiencing homelessness.

The Placer Collaborative Network is a project of Placer Community Foundation, whose mission is to grow local giving to strengthen our community. It works with donors to create charitable endowments and distributes grants to nonprofit organizations residing throughout the Western Slope of Placer County.
